Local relevance, national performance

Tech & Digital services

Brief

Rebtel, a global VOIP provider, partnered with Mediareach to drive a significant increase in sales and app downloads within UK communities that regularly call family and friends abroad. The challenge was to cut through in a competitive category and reach West African audiences in a way that felt trusted, relevant and locally rooted.

Strategy

Using Mediareach’s proprietary in-house community database, we identified and segmented West African communities across the UK at postcode level. This allowed us to plan a highly targeted, community-first media strategy focused on environments where Rebtel would feel both visible and credible.

The campaign combined:

  • Outdoor advertising in high-density community locations

  • Press and PR within culturally relevant titles

  • Grassroots outreach, including billboards and leaflets placed in trusted spaces such as hair and beauty salons

By blending digital, outdoor and physical community touchpoints, we maximised local presence, word-of-mouth and consideration at the point of relevance.
