Brief

Tropical Sun approached us with a goal that went beyond just being on the shelf. They wanted to become a beloved part of Black British households. As a brand inspired by Caribbean heritage, they needed to shift from being recognized to being loved. This change required emotional storytelling, not just messages about their products.  

Strategy

We created Tropical Sun's first TV commercial, a key moment that positioned the brand as more than just ingredients. It became a link between heritage and everyday life. The "Lifts Any Mood" campaign focused on real moments of joy, family, and flavour, showing how Tropical Sun turns regular meals into celebrations of culture.

We developed two versions of the main TV commercial, each showcasing the brand's award-winning Caribbean sauces, including the Great Taste Award-winning Crushed Red Chilli Sauce and Jerk BBQ Sauce. The creative work captured the vibrancy and warmth of Caribbean cooking while connecting directly with the experiences of multicultural Britain.  


We boosted the campaign with targeted digital ads on social platforms and streaming services, ensuring the message reached Black British audiences where they were already active. We also updated the brand's packaging design, refreshing the visual identity to reflect quality and authenticity while preserving cultural credibility.
