}Mediareach Advertising has held a Facebook photo competition to celebrate multiculturalism in the UK.
The winner of the competition is Digpal Singh, who won a round trip to Barcelona with the photo “Who am I” that received the most likes and comments on Facebook.
The competition was a chance to showcase the diverse cultures and nationalities of the UK living side by side through people, symbols, food, art and culture. As a result of the campaign, the amount of existing likes tripled. It was interesting to note that the most active audience for the campaign was from South Asian backgrounds although the campaign was open to everyone.
These types of competitions are great opportunities to learn about Britain’s rich cultural mix and look at diversity from the positive and engaging point of view. Mediareach believes that Social Media enables people to make their voices and stories heard. It is a great platform to build engagement and create buzz among the multicultural communities in the UK.
